About Our Founder, Brian Woodland

E-commerce entrepreneur. Writer. CFO. Founder of Assets & Odysseys.

Experience

Nearly 30 years of finance and accounting experience in e-commerce, creative media and content, manufacturing, and leading and coaching finance teams. I’ve been a bookkeeper, an entry-level cost accountant, and for the past 6 years I’ve been a fractional CFO… and I’ve done just about everything in accounting and finance in-between.

Certified Management Accountant (CMA, 1998) and Certified in Financial Management (CFM, 2000) by the Institute of Management Accountants, an MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, and a BA in Accounting from Weber State University.

Now From Idaho

I’ve made my home in the Magic Valley of Southern Idaho after spending the first 30 years of my life in Utah and another 20 years living and working in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. I have fallen in love with the Snake River Canyon in Southern Idaho, kayaking the river that made it, and exploring its trails.
